-
5 Simple, Safe Ingredients
Made with 5 simple ingredients, Lavengel’s patented formula is safe to lick and provides relief, infection protection, and wound healing.
-
Clinically Proven
Lavengel® is based on over 10 years of meticulous university study and testing, created by nutritional biochemist W. Andrew Clark, Ph.D, RD.
Vet Tested, Vet Approved
Several years ago, Dr. Karen Stone, DVM, became the first veterinarian to try Lavengel® on canines, and she hasn’t looked back since:
"Compared to an OTC product or a lot of other veterinary products, I like it because it works quickly, effectively - and the most important part is, it’s completely non-toxic.
Dogs don't lie. It either works or it doesn't, and this does.”
Treating a Dog's Wound Near the Eye
How To Care for Your Dog's Wound
-
Clean + Dry the Wound
Make sure any bleeding has stopped. Carefully clean the area of any debris, wash with a mild soap, and gently dry.
-
Apply Lavengel
Put a thin layer of gel onto the area 2-3 times daily. Depending on the severity or location, a bandage may be advisable.
-
Distract Your Pup
Use a treat or toy to keep your dog from licking the gel for a minute so it can absorb and begin to the healing process.
Build a First Aid Kit for Your Dog
Having a first-aid kit for your dog could save them from further injury, reduce risk of infection/illness, and promote a faster recovery. Here are a few ideas on what to include:
1) Tweezers or Forceps: Handy if you need to remove something small.
2) Blunt-tip Scissors: Ideal for safely removing tangled or matted fur.
3) Two Nylon Slip Leads: These can be used to catch a loose pet, act as a temporary muzzle, or function as a leash if needed.
4) Ice Pack: Helps reduce swelling and inflammation due to injury or allergic reaction
5) Non-stick Gauze Pads and Wrap: These can be placed on cuts, scrapes, and even larger wounds to control bleeding until you reach a veterinarian.
6) Hand Towels and Wet Wipes: Great for cleaning up messes and accidents.
7) Lavengel (obviously): Perfectly travel-sized, and great for relieving irritation, protecting from infection, and promoting the healing process.
8) Hydrogen Peroxide: In emergency situations when your dog ingests something poisonous, this can be used to induce vomiting. However, this should ONLY be done as directed by your pet’s doctor.
9) Benadryl (Diphenhydramine tablets): Your veterinarian may instruct you to administer if your pet is having a severe allergic reaction. This is often used in the summer when bees and other stinging insects are more prevalent.
We Give to Help Rescue Dogs + Heroes
For every tube of Lavengel® sold, we donate to Companions for Heroes® (C4H), a non-profit organization that rescues dogs that might otherwise be euthanized.
C4H trains these rescue-dogs to be companion or service dogs, then pairs them - completely free-of-charge - with military personnel, veterans, and first-responders recovering from PTSD and other difficult trauma.
C4H also works to raise awareness for animal rescue, PTSD, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
